形態特徵

Loosely tufted perennials. Rhizome knotty. Culms erect, 30-100 tall, clothed at base with few cataphylls.
Blades lanceolate-elliptic, 4-15 cm long, 1-3 cm wide, apex attenuate, base petiole-like, tessellate veined; ligule 1.5 mm long, apex rounded; sheath margin ciliate.
Panicle large, to 25 cm long; pedicels hispid. Spikelets 2-4-flowered, 4-8 mm long; glumes subcoriaceous, elliptic, apex cuspidate, weakly (3)-5-nerved; lowest lemma 4 mm long; first lemma 2.5-4 mm long, subcoriaceous, 7-nerved, not retrorsely barbed, apex cuspidate; palea 2.8 mm long, 2-keeled, apex acute, hispid on upper part of keel; upper lemmas slightly smaller than lowest, glandular hairy along upper margin, hairs retrorsely barbed when mature.
Anthers 0.4-0.67 mm long. Caryopsis 1 mm long.

世界 : Tropical Africa, India, Indochina, Malesia, Polynesia, and southeastern China.
